The plan is a joint planning effort between the Borough and the Township. It represents a commitment by the two municipalities and the entire North East Area community to work together to solve common problems, pursue common goals, and ensure a bright and prosperous future for the North East Area.
As part of the planning process, the community identified the North East Area’s top three priorities as (1) improve our downtown area, (2) preserve the North East Area’s rural characteristics, and (3) improve our parks. The resulting plan establishes goals to address these priorities, and identifies realistic and financially feasible action steps that are designed to be implemented within the next one to five years.
The plan will be introduced, and public comments will be received, during a public meeting on November 15, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the North East Township municipal building, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA.
